In British Columbia, Registered Acupuncturists are not allowed to claim a specialty. Most practitioners, including myself, treat a vast scope of conditions in their practice; however, personal interest, experience, and continuing education of the practitioner can come into play.
I welcome all in my practice, regardless of age, gender, religion, or ethnicity; and aim to provide a safe and healing space for everyone. With a background in sociology and gender studies, I have a personal interest in psycho-emotional health, especially in relation to trauma. I work with many patients who experience anxiety, chronic pain, depression, insomnia, overthinking, lack of motivation, autoimmune diseases and post traumatic stress. In addition to my private practice, I provide community style treatments within a rehab program, with a focus on recovery from trauma and addictions.
Needless to say, as a mother and doula, I am thrilled to be able to offer support to families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, through Chinese Medicine and birth work.
